If Gela introduced a bright new voice in Australian music, DJANDJAY signals a creative leap - thematically deeper, sonically broader, and unflinchingly personal. Named in honour of both his late grandmother and the Yolŋu spirit guide she shares a name with, the album marks a turning point for Baker Boy as he steps further into his identity, his power, and his global vision.

Across these dates, Baker Boy will showcase material from DJANDJAY, a record shaped by spiritual legacy and personal transformation. Blending ancestral influences with sharp-edged global production, the album folds in Yolŋu Matha, English, and Burarra across a dynamic soundscape that spans hip-hop, punk, gospel, and electronic textures. Singles like ‘PEACEKEEPER’, ‘FREAK OUT’ (feat. Briggs and Haiku Hands), and ‘THICK SKIN’ (feat. Thelma Plum, Emma Donovan, Kee’ahn & Jada Weazel) speak directly to the album’s core: resilience, reclamation, and refusing to be boxed in.

With stops in Mulubinba/Newcastle, Warrane/Sydney, Meanjin/Brisbane, Cullunghutti/Coolangatta, Koornoo/Barwon Heads, Naarm/Melbourne, Gulumoerrgin/Darwin, and Mparntwe/Alice Springs, the DJANDJAY tour promises the full scale of Baker Boy’s vision, featuring a brand new show, created especially for this tour. It’s a fresh production designed to give fans something they haven’t experienced from a Baker Boy show before. He’ll also appear at Perth Festival and WOMADelaide2026, with more to be announced.

Where Gela introduced the artist, DJANDJAY reveals the man: more grounded, more defiant, and more ready than ever.

DJANDJAY by Baker Boy is out Oct 10
PRE-SAVE/PRE-ORDER HERE
